When
Harry and Val Coggan moved from Tamworth in 1973 with
3 small children to start their own wool and sheepskin
business, they never imagined that, one day, it would
develop into the regional family-owned wool buying and
wool brokering business that it is today.
In 1992, sons Mark and
Cameron joined their father’s business after gaining
experience in the wool industry through wool-classing
on farms around Dubbo and the far west. Their young
keen attitude and fresh injection saw Coggan Wool quickly
grow from a modest local wool brokering business to
one that is, today, well-recognised throughout central
western New South Wales.
Now, with Harry having
over 55 years working in the wool industry, and Mark
and Cameron together accumulating 38 years, our family
has gathered many personal contacts, not only with woolgrowers
but also with buyers at the Yennora Wool Selling Centre.
It is through these contacts
that we've established Coggan Wool as a trusted name
in the wool industry. Our efficiency with the flow of
wool, from the time of on-farm pickup through to the
buyers' final shipping destination, is exemplary.
Our foundation is built on relationships of trust between
Coggan Wool and our customers; in many cases, relationships
that have been built over decades. And we never forget
that it's these relationships that are the cornerstone
of our past and future success.
